A yawning canyon cuts through the stone here, with the river falling nearly 150 feet to the shadowy bottom. A natural stone bridge spans the gap, but take care - it is narrow and generally slippery, either from spray or ice. In the winter, the falls have been known to freeze solid, creating a breathtaking spectacle.
