The big brute couldn't believe what he was seeing upon the new she-wolf's arrival. She dodged the bear and made her way to the two younger wolves' sides. She was certainly brave, perhaps a little foolhardy, but he currently couldn't count that as a fault. He liked her, at least up until she came to their sides and spoke to him. Knowing better than to look away from the bear he simply growled a little deeper. He wasn't a kitten and, though it was not his usual nature, felt that he should act the part of the big tough male.
When the newly arrived female suggested running, Pasha nearly did so. Had Olive taken off first he would have been quick to follow suite. However neither of the she-wolves ran and he wasn't about to just turn tail and run. The bear was on its hind legs now, it towered over the wolves. Just as soon as the bear's height had sunk into Pasha's mind Olive spoke.
She had a plan and that plan wasn't running. Already Pasha wasn't very fond of it. Then she told him the plan. This was a horrible idea. He was going to die trying this. Why, oh why couldn't he just run? Nephele's kitten comment rang in his ears though, he had to prove he was tough. Just once he needed to do something that was impressive, then he could go back to his peaceful life. He thought about it quickly for a second. This was certainly an impressive thing, taking out a bear. He could certainly have a reason to take life easy after he did this. “Shall I lead the charge or ladies first?” He asked Olive with a grin on his face.

Nephele listened to Olives instructions ears pricking in surprise at the plan, but her head nevertheless dipped in a swift nod of agreement, she darting forward again and resuming the taunt before the bear worked up the nerve to approach them. The creature was making the task rather easy, so focused on appearing as large as possible it seemed to forget the threat of leaving its most vulnerable parts exposed. Or maybe he’s certain of his own capabilities she thought fleetingly.
She had to admit that she felt some respect for the beast as she experienced firsthand its skill at repelling the advances, though whatever sympathy she may have felt vanished quickly as she felt a slight a warm liquid seep down her leg and caught the scent of her own blood. Regardless of whatever talent in bear baiting she had had at her home, it quickly dawned on her that the skill had not been totally maintained the bear managing to nick her on the hind leg with a claw during one of her retreats. Being a flesh wound the pain went ignored though, held at bay by the sheer amount of adrenaline pumping through her veins, the female completely engaged in the act of keeping it in position.
(( Yah, I totally ruined the order, sorry I'm dumb sometimes :c))

For a moment Olive feared that Pasha wouldn’t agree to her plan. He could run if he wanted, she wouldn’t hold it against him but she couldn’t bring herself to leave anyone behind. Her need to stick by others, even total strangers had proven to be both her best and worst asset at times. She kept her chocolate colored eyes on the other, brave female. If this perfect stranger was willing to come to their aid then (in Olive’s mind anyway) they owed her some help in return. She noticed the blood that stained Nephele’s fur but the she wolf seemed oblivious to her injury, obviously the injury wasn’t deep enough to impair her ability to keep the bear on his toes.
Pasha finally spoke ‘Shall I lead the charge or ladies first?’ the female grinned back at him. She was glad that he had agreed. “Together” she said before darting forward, trusting Pasha would be running at her side. Her long legs carried her towards the bear at a high rate of speed but she knew she would need Pasha’s weight if they had any hopes of actually knocking the beast over. As she approached the bear she didn’t slow down, not even slightly. The female crashed into one of the bear’s thick hind legs with all the force she could muster.
ooc: Blah, crummy post. Sorry guys!

Pasha gave a nod as soon as Olive said they would charge together. Before he charged he took one last look at the other she-wolf. Blood stained both the snow and her soft grey coat. He couldn't back out now even if he wanted to. He owed her something for the pain she would eventually be in. When he looked back at Olive she had already started her charge. He had expected a little bit more of a warning, but it was no trouble. His powerful hind legs launched him forward. He was surprisingly fast for his size and he quickly caught up to Olive. The snow did not impede him very much though it was deep. He had spent his life running through snow like this and had worked out a way to run fast through it. He even had to slow his speed a bit to match Olive.
He began to have second thoughts about this plan, but it was too late to slow down or turn about at this point. He crashed into the bear's legs only moments after Olive. His weight, combined with Olive's, caused the bear to topple over backwards. Pasha kept on running a few more paces before spinning about. “You two get out of here first,” He said, not entirely sure why he had said it, “I'll bring up the rear. I've got a better chance of fighting him off if he decides we are worth chasing. I'll join in a moment.” He hoped this time Olive would get out of here.

Eyes widened, awestruck as the two managed to knock the bear over. After a moment a wry grin began to form on her face in stride with an occurring thought. I really did make the right choice in pack, I’d like to see Raekerin or Valkyr try a move like that.
Immediately turning around and trotting from the scene, the gray lass turned back to at least offer a reason for her parting, tone for the most part apologetic but containing an odd mix of humor “I’ll take my leave, you seem to handle yourselves better-“ She paused, the grin spreading even wider.
-and wiser than I."
Starting to move again, she proceeded in the same direction as before only to pause, turning back and calling another phrase over her shoulder.
“But maybe you could keep my part out of things when you tell the story, hm? I’m in no mood to be rebuked for taking the risk of leaving the pack without a medic.”
As a healer she found it particularly shameful to use self healing techniques in the view of others, she herself not entirely sure as to why and only knowing that it filled her with detachment, it was odd to be in the place of the injured and be reminded of her own mortality. As questionable as leaving them with the bear was, she had no real qualms in doing it, the two should have no issues in getting away from the bear and though perhaps she was not leaving in an entirely shameless fashion it wouldn't be much better to pass out from blood loss.
Limping slightly, she left the company of the others as swiftly as her body would allow, scouring the ground and repeating the names of herbs in a swiftly muttered phrase while making her way through the snow. “Holy Basil, prunella, comfrey, or yarrow. Holy Basil, prunella-“
((EXIT THREAD)) Might not be able to post here and don't want to slow things

Olive was hesitant to run ahead of Pasha but it wasn’t as if they had the time to discuss things, they needed to get moving before the bear got to its feet. She nodded as Nephele asked them not to mention that she had been present during the encounter. She was grateful to the other female; she hadn’t even gotten her name. Her words did give away one thing; the female was a member of the pack, the healer. If all the pack members were as brave as her then this was a pack she was proud to be a member of. Olive was agitated, she wanted to get going. Her ears flicked from the other wolf as she spoke and back to the bear.
Now it was time to get moving, she watched as Nephele departed and then got herself moving. She dashed over the snow quickly, wanting to put some distance between herself and the animal that they had most likely enraged with they’re little stunt. She glanced back momentarily, she hoped that Pasha would catch up but she didn’t slow down. He had proven he was fast when they charged the bear so she knew he would have no trouble catching up.
ooc: skip to the pack post?

Pasha held his ground until the two females had disappeared over the hill. It did not take them long and none of them stood to fight by his side. He was thankful for this, he was not certain what he would do if they had stayed. It would have been wrong to leave them but he was not certain he would stand to fight a second round if they had chosen to stay.
The great bear began to bring itself to its feet, this was not a good thing. Luckily for the male wolf it seemed slightly dazed. A fall like that would do that to any creature. Pasha did not wish to see how well a dazed bear could fight and he was quick to turn tail and run.
His powerful body powered him through the snow. His speed, already naturally fast, was helped along by the adrenaline coursing through his veins. He could keep up this pace for a good distance as well. And so he did, perhaps it would have been better to stick with the females, but he did not. He was too caught up getting away. He would see the females soon he was certain. They where only a howl away if he needed them.
OOC: Alrighty I think this thread is done.
