Her name was Suka, it was a less than tasteful name but it suited her well. She had made up her mind that she wanted to be the leader of her own pack and she was well on her way to making that happen. In her mind she had it all worked out, now all she needed to do was set it into action. She thought she had found the perfect place to start as well.
She didn't know much about the Valkyr, just rumors that they where not the kindest of packs. That suited her just fine, the white wolf did not mind a good scrap or two every now and again. It could even be useful if that pack's gruff nature meant that leadership roles fluctuated. She didn't know much about the pack members, for all she knew there was no more than two bickering siblings, but again, it made little difference to her.
The snow colored she-wolf trotted along until she came to the board of the pack's land. She debated in her mind if it was worth showing that she was going to be in charge of herself and crossing over this scent boarder. Her blue eyes looked skyward as she thought it through in her mind before she decided that it was not worth a fight this early on. Being a decent wolf would get her into the pack, doing whatever she pleased would get her chased away.
She didn't feel like waiting to be discovered, but she had little choice. She gave a nice, loud, long howl before she began to look about her a bit better. She wanted to get to know the sites and sounds and smells of what would hopefully be her new home.

Thin ice leaves stretched their white and translucent veins over the stream which poured into the massive empty chasm. On either side of the half-frozen water was frost dusted grass, which gave a satisfying crunch beneath every black step that the Valkyr Warrior made. His golden eyes burned the fragile ice of the stream so that beneath his hateful gaze the ice creaked, cracked. and collapsed so that the stream's watery tears were free at last.
Some would find this beautiful. Wrath found it disgusting. He hated the ice. He hated how it hid and sheltered the silvery fish beneath its surface. He hated that his muscular body was too much for the iced over stream to hold. He despised the cold that nipped at the edges of his toes. And he was quite furious that despite having followed the stream all the way to its end, he had yet to catch a single fish. His equally furious belly boiled with discontent. And his mood was only further agitated by a long howl near the border.
He glared in the direction it had come from, hating the unknown visitor without even having laid eyes on them. His hunger did not prevent him from marching in a swift trot towards the border. His golden eyes peered out of a mass of black fur, which was probably visible a good distance away among the pale shades of winter.
He stood a good few yards across from the intruder. She was female, but she received none of the courtesy that Azazel might have shown her, or the leniency that Luna might have given. Unfortunately, she was stuck with the brute, the hot-head, the Hateful Sibling, Wrath.
Crouched down and baring his teeth he growled. "State your business. What are you doing on our border?"

Suka watched as the other approached, he was not well hidden amongst the snow. The white female mused about him for a bit. What would he be like, was he the alpha or just a grunt, how would he react to her, and so many other thoughts crossed her mind.
It did not take the brute long to reach the board and to speak to Suka. Even before he spoke she knew how he felt about her. He was more than annoyed, he was downright enraged about her being there. She certainly hoped that the entire pack did not feel the same way he did about strangers.
Though she could tell he did not like her, the she-wolf was surprised that he assumed such an aggressive position as he spoke with her. She replied calmly though, she could fight but she would much rather wait for an important reason to do so. “I'm seeking a new pack,” she told him, “I need a new home you see. I'd rather not talk about it now. I just want a family that will take me in. I've got some useful skills, I'm a good hunter, I can put up a good fight if I need too as well.” She gave a soft little smile and batted her eyes.
Hopefully this male was not so gruff that he would become angrier at her for her actions. She also hoped that he did not press for a reason as to why she needed a new family. It wasn't the best lie she could have told and she wasn't sure why she told it but it was too late now. Most wolves where good enough souls deep down that they wouldn't press a matter if you made it out to sound as if your last pack had died. Normally by the time it would be appropriate for them to press you had come up with a good tale or they had figured out that you stretched the truth to get yourself a nice home and they had made you enough of the pack that it wasn't a good choice to kick you out.

Wrath was not impressed. Not that the wolfess should be ashamed of that. Wrath wasn't impressed by much of anything. Although he did manage to stop baring his teeth when after her reply, he still scowled hatefully at her. Occasionally, he peered beyond her, his eyes searching for hidden shadows, or signs that other wolves were trailing her. She appeared to be alone. He leaned forward boldly and gave an audible sniff. No telling where she was from. Even after all this security checking, the black fur bristled around his neck.
"New family?" Wrath snorted in clear disgust. "You've come to the wrong place, if that's what you're seeking."
He looked at the she-wolf. He didn't trust any wolf as far as he could throw them (and that might actually be pretty far). So he disregarded her story, and concentrated on her skills. She was well-built. Healthy. It was possible that she was actually a competent hunter and fighter. These were skills that his Alphess might actually value.
"I can't guarantee you that the Alphess won't kill you on sight," Wrath barked, his voice gruff with impatience. If he was lucky, she would run with her tail between her legs at that comment.

Suka did her best to remain looking sweet and innocent as the male gave her a once over. He wasn't impressed by anything, she could tell, but that didn't matter much to her. As long as he didn't a start a fight. She could live happy not making a friend out of him. He spoke to her telling her she wouldn't find a family in the pack.
“I use the term family loosely,” she replied a little too quickly, “I just want to find some others who will help with hunting and such. Family is important but I would rather stay alive than cuddle.” She hoped she hadn't messed up her story's believability. It wasn't a big deal exactly, only the male knew it at the moment. She was sure she could get him to help her along with any new story she had to make.
He warned her that the alphess was not a friendly female but she simply shrugged. “I doubt she will kill me,” the snow white wolf smiled, “She might try but I am a good little girl. I'll make a nice addition to this pack and I will be joining. If that means that I have to prove myself in a little scuffle so be it. She let you in the pack so I'm sure I can make it in.” She kept her little smile on her face as her mind quickly worked out a new question for the male. She might have just made herself an enemy or she could have made a friend. Probably an enemy, but she couldn't know for sure.

Wrath growled. He was born into this Pack, but he found no sense in correcting her. As for whatever else she was saying, words were meaningless. He decided that it was rather senseless to wait out here in the cold with her. He would save Pynthi a lot of time and trouble just by bringing the she-wolf directly to the alphess. If Pynthi rejected her, then perhaps she would allow Wrath to partake in her exile and possible execution. In all, it was a win-win situation for the cruel ebony wolf.
"Listen up," he barked suddenly, golden eyes narrowed at her. "You will follow me. You will not wander. You will not hunt. And above all else, you will remain silent. If you don't think you can comply with those simple instructions, I suggest you turn around now."
Luna approached the border with caution. She sighed as she recognized the twin pelt of her brother beside the strange new wolf. Her siblings had had quite a lot of run-ins with new wolves wanting to join the Pack lately. She wondered why that was. She approached mid-way through her sibling's speech.
"Oh Wrath, that's not at all necessary," Luna breathed, her breath coming out as fog. Hi there, I'm Luna, and I can see you've met my brother Wrath. And since your throat isn't ripped open, I'm guessing you came to join the pack?" Luna said calmly, hoping that last joke might lighten the mood. "Come on over, we'll walk you to our Alphess."
Really, she planned to distract this wolf from seeing too much of their territory. The way Wrath had planned to escort her, this wolf could have collected a good bit of information about their territory and then just run off with it! His carelessness amazed her sometimes.
Although she had no desire to see her cruel Alphess, she was going to make the best of it for the sake of her pack.
"So, uh, what's your name?" Luna said, already beside the new wolf.

Suka padded along in silence behind the male. There where many thoughts that raced through her mind ranging from things such as how plentiful the game was here to much would she have to do in order to get to a high rank in the pack. The male's voice cut through her thoughts. It was not so much that he was talking, it was the tone in which he talked. He sounded annoyed about something, though Suka wasn't sure what. “I understand, sir,” she replied when he had finished telling her what not to do. She bit her tongue in order to not ask him what she was allowed to do.
The white she-wolf's ears pricked forward as she heard the voice of another. The one who spoke was another female. She was certainly friendlier than her brother, or at least she acted that way. Suka never took how one acted on first acquaintance as their general deminer. The other female gave her name and her brother's name then invaded her to see the alphess. “I do wish to join the pack,” Suka said with a friendly little smile, “My name is Suka by the way. Luna is a rather lovely name and your brothers name is very...fitting.”
