Appearance: Kaida is a small-built wolf, slender with thin legs. Even as she is growing, it is rather obvious that she won't be the full height and weight of an average she-wolf. Her pointed ears and pointed muzzle are likely an illusion created by the lack of bulk in her body, and the thinness of her fur. Her fur is a thin snowy haze of black and silver. The soft silver combined with the harsh black, despite not being perfectly even, makes it hard to judge which color was more prevalent. She is both light and dark.

Dawn~Step into the Light

A gentle and tender-hearted wolf, Dawn loves the bright and cheerful aspects of light. She likes running and playing, catching falling leaves, chasing butterflies, and attending Pack Meetings. She has a deep loyalty to her Pack. The Pack Laws are the most beautiful idea in the world to her. In her naivity, it confuses her as to why any cat would ever break it.

Although she would love to be an excellent student in the ways of the Pack. She is utterly unable to focus on training. Her bright nature doesn't exactly add to a low food supplies. She isn't a bad fighter, but she lacks desire to harm another cat or creature in any way.

She is never angry. Any anger she might feel flows into Dusk, or is converted too terrible emotional hurt and sadness. She tends cry easily, but any wolf can tell when she's really been hurt by something.

She's excellent at making friends. But Dusk makes it hard to keep them...

Dusk~ Welcome to the Haven of Darkness~

Dusk is the exact, extreme, opposite of Dawn. She despises not only bright and cheery things like: Butterflies, catching falling leaves, games, jokes, and friendship. She also despises light. She despises the sunlight and hot weather, especially in Summer though she does come in the daytime when it's absolutely necessary. She prefers the colder weather and the dim lighting of twilight, Autumn, and Winter.

Dusk doesn't give a flying doe-crap about serving the Pack. She does what is needed for Kai to become a good Pack Member because it is what her lighter half wants. She has almost no capacity for loyalty, except when Kai might be harmed if she breaks a promise.

She is always angry, but it shows through an insanely toothy smile and a burning fire in her eyes. She can't be hurt emotionally. This was the very reason that she was born into Kai's mind. Her coldness, her cruelty, her lust for vengeance on the life she has been given are all things that Kai felt before her mind was split in two. Dusk is the expression of those feelings.

Appearance: In their mind, Dusk looks the same, but Dawn has silver fur where Kai's fur is black. And Black where it is

~Kai as a whole~

Though the two personalities share a single body, they conversate often with each other (mostly in their split mind). The personalities are contradictory, yet coexisting. They don't hate each other and in fact they have a deep bond and a desire to protect each other, like sisters. Usually, Dusk doing the protecting though.

History:

Kai was born with a whole mind to two very sane wolves of average rank. They instilled loyalty, faith, and trust into the cub's mind. For a time, Kai was innocent as dawn. She didn't cry easily, and she was tough enough to back up her beliefs. She got angry at times but had a strong grip on that anger. She lived her life as a normal happy cub should...for about three months.

The World soon shattered around her. Deaths in her family were happening left and right. Her mother's sister, the Shaman at that time, abandoned the Pack. She walked through the camp entrance screaming that the family was cursed and her sister (Kai's mother) deserved to die. Though terrified by the event, Kai did no investigating for herself.. Then, days later, the Shaman's body turned up on the territory's edge. Kai's father had been near there that day and was accused. Rather than fleeing from the Pack as they tried to drive him off, Kai's father stayed and fought. One wolf went too far and Kai's father was mortally wounded. It was then that her mother confessed to killing the sister and she exclaimed that her sister had known a terrible secret about Kai's family, not just this generation but several generations back. A mystery passed on generation after generation, an ancient family tradition that, being a Shaman, Kai's Aunt could not bear to perform. Rather than explain further, Kai's mother dashed out of the camp and threw herself off of a cliff.

It was a sheer miracle that Kai was not banished. The Pack so feared that the little one was cursed as well...But they could not send her out to her death, not after she had just lost anyone who could possibly care from her.

In the meantime, Kai had long since been in shock. By the time she was beyond her pup-rank, her mind was completely fragmented. She was sent to the new Shaman's den for a month, and most believed that she would never recover the trauma to her mind. However, in that short span, the fragments reorganized themselves. Her mind was split in two to manage the strain of her extremely sensitive emotions. Only her true friends know how deep the split is. Only they knew Dawn and Dusk as separate individuals. Kai no longer exists, but is a name that both can be summoned by.

Once she was "well" enough to be sent on her way, the Pack turned on her and booted her out. She is now on her way to the next nearest Pack, and they don't know what's coming.
