A cool breeze drifted by, tickling the evergreen needles of the pine trees and causing them to sway back and forth slightly. A chilling air had settled over the terrain, wrapping its cloak around any exposed being or object in attempt to freeze them like a snake squeezing its prey. The twigs and branches that rested themselves upon the ground had begun to gather tiny, crystalline ice particles, glistening ever so slightly as the light that peeked through the trees bounced off of them.
The solid earth's cracking hide crunched softly in complaint as a titanic creature padded across it, red-covered talons smashing the bits of frost as they pierced them. Layers of muscle rippled under a pelt of shining silver as motion coursed through the behemoth. Limbs carried the frame along in a robotic manner, without a single complaint of the great burden the body posed as. Pupil-less red-violet orbs moved steadily about in their sockets, allowing gaze to scan along the surrounding trees and forest floor, prying what information it could from them. Sights were shifted to a fallen tree not much further ahead, tendril-like roots still clinging to what specks of dirt they could as they stuck out the bottom of the lifeless plant.
Maw parted slightly and a breath was exhaled, warm fog floating up and becoming lost as its owner continued ahead towards the log. A pause was made for only a second as brawn bunched, then was released, springing the monster with amazing fluidity up onto the horizontally placed trunk. Talons snapped down and dug into the rotting wooded flesh, anchoring the colossal mass in place as he continued his survey of the area.
The wind blew by once again, tousling blood-tipped chest furs and snickering as it waited for the shivering reaction that always followed its antics. The fiend stood, eyes lazily tracing the shapes of the other trees as though he could not tell that any frigid winds were about. The mischievous and cocky air quickly disappeared, irritated seeing as its chilling temperatures seemed to take no affect upon the massive beast that remained perched upon the log.
" Psycho."
