Name:Alder
Nickname(s): Al
Age: Four and a half years
Gender: Male
Pack: Raekerin
Rank: Wolverine Comander(with any luck)
Appearance:
At a glance the first thing you notice about Alder is that he is positively huge. He is bother tall and muscular. He has long legs but they are thick and built for endurance rather than speed. Speed and stealth are this wolf’s downfall but he makes up for it with strength and inelegance. His body is thick with muscle, particularly his chest and neck. He also has very large feet which most likely contribute to his lack of speed. His coat is a blend of black and brown with a small patch of white on his chest. His coat is very thick and fairly long, it often appears shaggy as he doesn’t care too much for grooming. He has a large set of ears to match his large body and a set of piercing yellow eyes that seem to look right through you rather than at you. He also has some scars. The most notable ones are the tooth marks near the back of his neck from a scrap with a big cat.

Personality:
Alder in the long run is a wolf with a big heart, the trick is getting used to his less pleasant qualities. During regular, day in day out pack life he is always present and aware of the goings on in the pack although he has never been one for gossip. If you tell this wolf something in confidence you can be sure his lips are sealed no matter what. He prefers to keep out of the personal problems of others, he can’t stand meddlers. On the other hand if a friend asks for his help he is there, no questions asked. Some would describe Alder as a “man’s man” some of his favorite things include eating, hunting, females, fighting and wrestling (probably in that order). He also has a large soft spot for young wolves although he does his best to keep it a secret, it might make him look like too much of a softy. In his interactions with others the brute is seemingly unaware of his massive size and he can be a little too rough at times without realizing it until someone lets him know he has gotten carried away. Don’t expect an apology in this case “suck it up” is about as close as you’re ever going to get.
Fights are different all together. In that case he knows how to use his size and strength to his advantage and his softer, kinder side is thrown out the window. It takes a lot for a pack mate to push Alder over the edge he believes in second chances and he is forgiving but once he turns his back on you, you have lost a friend for life. Towards an enemy of his pack he is merciless and cold, he seems to take on an entirely different personality. In an emergency he is focused on his objective and once again his sweet side goes into hiding. He can’t stand when others panic he will be the first one to tell them to get their head in the game and he won’t be polite about it.
History:
Alder was not born into the best of circumstances. The small pack his family belonged to was struggling and the last thing they needed were more mouths to feed so when Alder and, his two sisters, and his brother were born not everyone in the pack took kindly to them. Within the first few weeks of life the pup’s mother began to run out of milk and couldn’t feed all four of her young and unfortunately the weakest of the four pups, one of the females starved before ever leaving the den.
New challenges arose in the later months of the pup’s lives. Although they’re parents did they’re best to feed the pups they often didn’t notice when older pups in the pack stole food from the babies. Because of this the pups learned quickly that they needed to learn to fight. Alder was the biggest of his litter while the other two pups, particularly his brother were abnormally small and weak. Even as a pup he found himself coming to they’re aid and defending them from the rest of the pack when his parents weren’t around to do so.
By the time they were a year old Alder was still looking out for his brother but his sister had grown quite a bit and although she wasn’t nearly as big as Alder she had become strong enough to fend for herself. Surprisingly Alders brother (who’s name was Tupelo) did not appreciate the help, in fact he beginning to resent Alder for always coming to his aid. Tupelp eventually told his brother off. Alder was insulted and angry at how ungrateful his brother and for the next month they refused to speak to each other. As a result Tupelo found himself at the losing end of many fights and he found it nearly impossible to keep his food from being stolen. One night he made a huge mistake when he attempted to steal from the alpha’s food stash. He was caught and the alpha was furious. By the time Alder realized what was going on it was too late but he tried to save his brother anyway. He ended up seriously injuring the alpha and to make matters worse his brother only lasted about an hour before dying from his injuries. That night Alder was thrown out of his pack for defying his leader and he has been on his own ever since then.
Roleplay Example: {used a character i play on another site for this but if you would perfer one with alder i can change it}
Alcide had slipped out before dawn. Life around his master’s estate was terribly dull when his master was away, particularly during the day when the human workers were around to look after the horses and the property. His absence would likely go unnoticed so long as he made his return before nightfall and he would be sure to do so. His relationship with his master’s wife was simple, although neither had any real attachment to the other they both cared deeply for Warrane so for his sake they took care of each other. Alcide provided the woman and her prized horses with protection and the woman made sure that her husband’s dog was well looked after.
Even before the sun had risen the Dalmatian knew it was going to be a particularly nice day and now that it was up he could see that he was correct. The white in his smooth, flat coat gleamed in the morning sun as he made his way up towards the Santa Augustina Villa. The Villa was within sight, it was lovely, a perfect example of his standing in the world. The dogs of the Nobility lived like Gods and Goddesses, they were on top and nothing would change that if he had anything to do about it. The feeling of power that sprouted from being a member of the Nobility was not one he was willing to give up.
As the brute neared the luxurious building he noticed a dog standing outside. One thing he liked about this place was that there was little or no chance of being bothered by slum trash. Getting closer he realized that the dog was in fact his Queen. He wouldn’t be so rude as to not say hello to the leader of his pack. He padded up a set of stone steps into Antionette’s view “Good Morning” he said with a respectful bow and a friendly wag of his tail.
